Tasty and tender updates

A quick, non-ranty update:

My friends Eye Witness are headed to the studio in March to record their first album. Sniff. I'm so proud. Of course, these fancy-shmancy "rock n roll albums" ain't cheap (well, recording them, anyway), so they are looking for donations. They are a really cool duo that finds inspiration from Bob Dylan, Wilco, Neutral Milk Hotel - you know, the good stuff - and their live show is always a treat for the ears, human or otherwise. Any donation is welcome, and an $8 contribution lands you on the album pre-order list! A pretty good deal if you ask me. Head over to their Myspace page (linked above) for details; the donation link is posted in the "About" section. The current songs they have on the player are from their days as a trio. The new material is sonically and thematically a little different. If you're in the Worcester area on Jan 29th, they're playing a show at the Lucky Dog, if you'd like to try before you buy, so to speak.
